Ron Fredericks

ronFredericksPhotoRon Fredericks is the technologist for LectureMaker’s Cross-domain Video Platform. Companies use this platform to host, stream, manage, and sell subscriptions to massive online video for eLearning. As co-owner of LectureMaker LLC, he regularly consults for startup companies who want to organize communities into new profit centers using online platforms.

He has created social networks for three startup companies, one was sold successfully so far. He has also managed the design and rollout of new social services at Intel’s Wind River Systems and Motorola’s Mobile Division. Ron played a significant role in the integration of previously isolated scientific, technology and business communities from United States to the recently dissolved Soviet Union as the technical editor for Digital Equipment Corporation’s User Society Magazine. His LinkedIn social network for MOOCs has hit critical mass with new members, discussions, and job postings every day.

He attended the University of Minnesota’s Lab School for gifted elementary school students, graduated from Punahou School, attended University of California at Berkeley’s Biophysics Program as an undergraduate, and holds a BS in Electronics Engineering from one of the first distance learning programs for engineers. He has published many technology articles and co-authored two patents in mathematical modeling for optical computing in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
